LIBRARY OPENS ITS DOORS AS IT SHUTS DOWN.

After 58 years, at last they’re letting is know what’s been going on out of sight.

Before the Library Theatre leaves for a peripatetic phase and ultimate installation in a new central Manchester home, they’re holding a couple of Open (Half-)Days with a chance to view areas where a production is made and a performance controlled. These are the details:
Amongst the treats on offer on the backstage tour are a design and costume exhibition presented by resident designer Judith Croft; see how lighting and sound can enhance a production in the auditorium; an insight into the work of stage management; a peek into the dressing rooms; a visit to the rehearsal room with Artistic Director Chris Honer; a script sale; plus information on the Company’s exciting plans for the future.

The events take place on Wednesday 23 June (2pm-5pm) and Saturday 26 June (10am-1.30pm).

There is no charge but donations to the Library Theatre Development Trust will be welcome. Advance booking is advised at the theatre box office on 0161 236 7110.
