Dario FoÃ¢Â€Â™s plays change constantly, reflecting daily Italian politics and building on audience reactions. In 2007 the credit crunch provoked this more substantial, re-titled, reworking of his 1970s hit CanÃ¢Â€Â™t Pay, WonÃ¢Â€Â™t Pay. ItÃ¢Â€Â™s still the adventures of working class Milanese as they get caught up in a revolt against high prices by paying only what they can, but now FoÃ¢Â€Â™s targets include more bankers alongside the Pope, the bosses and our politicians.
