Whatever happened to baby Jonah?
Sarah, an intense young woman comes to call on her friend Liz in the seaside town where she has been living for several years. They have not seen one another for seven years. Liz appears to be about to celebrate the seventh birthday of her son Jonah, who never appears. There is something in their past that haunts them both. It has to do with a baby which may have died.
Or is Jonah the baby? Has Sarah been in prison? Is Liz worried by her arrival? Is Jonah real? Are the police looking for Sarah, or both of them?
This is a taut little mystery tale nicely performed by Lily Lowe-Myers as the mysterious Sarah and Robyn Cooper as the aghast Liz – Sarah is probably, it seems, the last person in the world she wishes to meet. It is a slight piece, but lasts just the right length to sustain interest in the outcome and has been well staged by director Matt Costain.
