FOOTBALL FANS AND FAMILY
A touching and comic tale about two brothers (and their mam and da) interspersed with key football moments from the history of the world cup (1982-2010). The major matches in our shared cultural memory are referred to, to the glee of any football fans who will well remember the stories surrounding these particular world cup match moments.
As The Vindaloo Brothers (UK’s No1 England Footy song Tribute Act) recall events from their past to bring them to the moment they are now at, we relive their childhood and youth with them. This reminiscing explores sibling rivalry as well as their competition to gain the approval of their father, and moreover the England football team’s frustrating and sometimes futile (but always exciting) bid to win the world cup.
The chemistry between Eamonn Fleming and Zach Lee who play mam, dad, and the two brothers allow for great comic timing and puns to keep us amused.
A great show for footy fans and also those who just want to hear a good yarn about family ties and brotherly love.
Mickey – Eamonn Fleming
